Workshop 1: Using Techsmith Relay & Camtasia for Student Engagement
10:00AM- 11:45AM- Downtown- Lawrence Street Center, 1300D
Stay at the front of the pack by using Techsmith Relay and Camtasia features for your videos! This workshop walks you through using both Relay and Camtasia for enhancing your course videos. Relay is a video platform designed for more engagement and better learning results, using video or lecture capture, quizzing and adaptive learning, and real-time viewing analytics. Additionally, Camtasia can be used for screencast lectures or tutorials, even if you’re new to creating or editing video. Relay and Camtasia are both free products for faculty/staff at CU Denver | Anschutz.

Session 1: Cool Runnings! Using Techsmith SnagIt to Improve Images in the Online Classroom

‘Feel the cropping, feel the design, get on up, it’s image editing time! This session will help you learn the basics of image editing and proper uses of digital images in the online classroom. Worried about copyright? We will get you acquainted with some free image repositories and help you bring home the gold!

Session 2: Miracle on Ice: Using ‘Pencasting’ for Sharing Written Notes and Audio Online

Do you want to learn how to create a digital copy of your written notes synced with audio?
This session will introduce you to “Pencasting” using a smart pen and how to create and share your voice notes with others. Join Betty Conner, a senior instructor in Accounting, as she demonstrates how to further engage online students using these tools and methods.
